How to Deal With Picky Eaters

I know there was a pretty good conversation going on at some point in this comm regarding kids who don't eat, and I just found this cool article over in boston.com regarding the very topic!

Happily, our own pediatrician is totally on board with this school of thought and feeding, but there are some interesting points here and conversations with local parents who also deal with this issue.

Hope it helps some of you!

Good luck and let me know which ones worked!

I don't fret over my 3 year old not eating or liking what I'd like her to too much...but anything that gets her to clear her plate is definitely aces in my book.

And the method suggested for getting them to try something seems to be taking root with her. She actually asked to try a tomato again the other night. Still doesn't like it, but she asked on her own the next night too!

MR isn't too much a finiky eater...yet. Not yet a 2 year-old, I know I'm lucky and trying to plan ahead...

The other night I made keilbasa and piergies...my husband was "meh" over the meal, until he saw Miss M STUFFING it into her face. Then said, "yeah, this meal's a repeat." :)

LOL! Totally. :) Mine loves shrimp, but hates pizza. LOVES mac n cheese (WIF HOT DOG MUMMY!) and also lettuce, but not tomatoes or basil. But her tastes change so very frequently that it's tough to plan.

Also, if she really, really hates something, she will delicately spit it out onto her plate and then wipe her tongue off with a paper towel. [facepalm]
